Very Dear Father, I have written to you twice & have as yet no answer, but here we must learn to be patient & wait the motions of our captors, I am getting along quite well. I need clothing worse than anything else, I wrote you for a box & for fear the letter did not reach you I will name the most needed articles, 2 flannel shirts, 2 pr flannel drawers some socks, pr shoes No 10, good sided can ground coffee a few pounds sugar, 10 lbs butter, & a supply of writing material, 1 peck of onions & anything else eatable you wish to put in, boxes come here in very fine order, even
