Text	Captain Thomas DeKay Kimball, Jr. enlisted as a private in 1862 in Company I, 88th Indiana Infantry. He took part in the battles of Perrysville and Stone River. He was captured at the Battle of Chickamauga. He was imprisoned at Libby Prison, Richmond Virginia, Macon, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina where he died.
